How To Help Your Clients Trust You More
We’ve all heard about contractor scams before, where people say that they are going to come in and do a job, but then they take some of your cash and then never come back. Even though these are not incredibly common, it feels like there is news about one almost every week nowadays. There are a lot of different people out there who are trying to get it by innocent people, and this is actually a big deal for those of us who are in the business honestly.
Why? Mainly, because it makes people a lot more concerned about our credibility. Are we legitimate, or are we going to end up scamming them for their money as well? Even though you know that you’re honest and you get the job done right, that doesn’t help ease the minds of some people who have heard horror stories about contractor scams. It’s even harder to get the trust of someone who has been scammed themselves as well.
So, what can you do to help your clients feel more comfortable when doing a home improvement? One of the best things to do is to make sure that you have an honest online presence, so when they look you up on Google or another search engine, they find you and everything is honest. Ask people to give video reviews or to leave honest reviews on your Facebook profile. Make sure that you have everything that you’re going to do written out. Make sure that you get the word out that you are someone that can be trusted.
It can be frustrating to try and be an honest businessperson when there are so many people who use the name of contractor and then end up hurting people in the process of doing so. But with some efforts on your part, and by keeping a consistent work flow and having high quality work all of the time, you will find that it’s much easier for you to get people to continue to get their service from you.
